The loofah has many uses. They’re wonderful for exfoliating while bathing. It is also a very useful, organic and biodegradable cleaning tool for those tough scrubbing jobs.
The loofah is not a sea sponge. It is a vegetable that is a member of the cucumber family and grows on a tree-like bush. The scientific name is Luffa Cylindrical also know as Luffa Aegyptica.
